During a recent interview with Josh Hall, we discussed what tools we use for keeping track of emails and leads. I mentioned that I use Basecamp to keep track of lead and that we are only using Google to keep track of emails.
Well a colleague of mine, Josh Rohrback of Magi Web Design, encouraged me to take a look at this new tool that just came out called CompanyHub. I have tried several CRM’s in the past such as HubSpot, Insightly, and Goldmine. Most of them were overkill for what we needed, and the price tags are a little to hefty for a small business like mine.
Here are some of the features that I had me sold.
Contacts and Leads
I love the contact interface. You can see all the contact information, comments, notes, emails and activities all in one place. You can easily customize the screen by adding and removing custom fields that are easy to create. You can even send an email right from this screen.
Email Sync & Tracking
I love the fact that I can sync it to my G Suite business email accounts. Just create a contact with an email address and its past & future conversations will be automatically synced. You can even track emails to see which of the recipients opened it and when. Yes!!!!
Out of all the CRM’s I have used in the past, I really like the “pipeline” feature here more than the others. And this is fully customizable as well.
One of the things I need to do more of is following up with past clients and leads so having the bulk email feature is pretty encouraging. I am looking forward to being able to send announcements and follow ups to multiple recipients.
Most of these features come with the standard but I decided to pay a little extra for the Reports, Dashboards, Advanced Customization and Automation. But if you are just getting started, the basic package is still a sweet deal packed with most of the features above.
This year I want to grow in the areas of capturing leads, managing leads, utilizing pipelines, driving more conversions and getting those sales numbers up. And I think CompanyHub is the perfect CRM for smaller businesses like mine with a smaller CRM budget and the need for only 2-10 users.
So are you ready to join me on this journey of growing our businesses in 2018?
